Thanks to the quick work by Shipmate Warren Meyers and his lovely wife Maxine, we have a plan in place for our next reunion. Again it will be held in conjunction with the USSVI National Convention to be held in Peoria, IL Sept 10 - 16, 2001.
I have uploaded all the forms to our web server and they can be accessed here. When you get to the page, click the "PRINT" button on your browser page to send everything to your printer. That saves Mary Lou from having to lick 100 more envelopes. She thanks you very much for being on-line. It makes thinks much simpler.
We formed a Sea Robin Association at the Reno Reunion. Ed Rabbitt setup a bank account for funds and Pete McCormack put the bylaws together. Now we are ready to solicit members. Please join and help us so that we can keep the ball rolling and plan future reunions and get-to-gethers.
Warren had contracted for 25 rooms at the Pere Marquette hotel as well as a nice private hospitality suite. These all have to be reserved by July 1. Our buffet dinner is to be held on Friday evening, Sept 14. We are looking into some activities for the ladies in our group so they don't have to listen to the same old stories, yet another year. Hopefully we will be able to plan something extra.
BULLETIN: 02/03/01 - The Pere Marquette has informed us the the rooms that were promised to us are NOT AVAILABLE after all. So please disregard the paragraph above. When using your HOUSING request form, list all other hotels first. The hospitality suite and banquet at that hotel are still OK.
